A Place to Understand Yourself—and Others
Empathy Living is a space for understanding the emotions, relationships, and experiences that shape the way we move through the world. Here, you'll find thoughtful resources on empathy, emotional sensitivity, boundaries, narcissism, grounding, and the patterns that can leave us wondering why we feel so much—or why certain relationships affect us so deeply.
The goal isn't to feel less. It's to understand more.
Understanding Can Change How We Experience Things
Sometimes simply having language for what we're experiencing can make it feel less confusing.
Why do I absorb the mood in a room? Why does one conversation stay with me for hours? Why do certain people leave me feeling drained? Where does empathy end and responsibility for someone else's emotions begin?
Empathy Living explores questions like these without reducing every experience to a label. The focus is on greater self-awareness, clearer relationships, and practical ways to feel more grounded when life—or other people's emotions—become overwhelming.

Hi, I'm Elyssa.
I've always been interested in why we feel what we feel, why some people seem to experience the emotions around them more intensely, and how our relationships can change the way we see ourselves.
I created Empathy Living as a place to explore those questions with curiosity rather than judgment—to better understand ourselves, better understand the people around us, and find a little more clarity and calm along the way.
I don't believe empathy means carrying everything for everyone. Sometimes understanding ourselves more clearly is what allows us to care deeply without losing ourselves in the process.
